ADA Colab2 Hackathon

I-validate

Ada Colab2 project, my team and I worked on developing an idea validator chatbot. The system was designed to validate ideas.

As a member of the team, my contribution focused on designing and conducting surveys together with the data team.

In this article, I will provide a detailed account of the steps I took to design and survey, and the tools and techniques I used. This article is aimed at beginners' levels' of interest in survey and provides a step-by-step guide to designing and conducting a similar survey.

How to Design a Survey Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Define the Objectives of the Survey

We(Data-team) identified the research questions, the target population and the type of data we needed for the idea validator chatbot.

  2. Draft the Survey Questionnaire

After we defined the survey, we drafted the survey questionnaire, which I collected and compiled. I used google forms to create the survey questionnaire and I included a mix of open-ended and close-ended questions.

  3. Pilot Test the Survey Questionnaire

Before I sent out the survey, I pilot-tested the survey questionnaire to ensure that the questions are clear and unbiased. I asked a few colleagues to test the survey questionnaire and provide feedback, which I used to refine the questionnaire.

  4. Collect the Data

The survey questionnaire was finalized, and the next step was to collect the data. I sent a survey questionnaire to the target population via social media. I also sent the survey links to my colleagues for a wider audience.

  5. Analyze the Data

After collecting the data, the next step is to analyze it. This involves calculating summary statistics and creating visualization to help you understand the data better.

  6. Draw Insights and Make Recommendations

After analyzing the data, the final step is to draw insights and make recommendations based on your findings.

In my case, my team and I identified areas where customers were dissatisfied with the product and recommended changes to improve the product's features and user experience.

Conclusion

In conclusion, designing and conducting a survey is a crucial part of any research project. By following these steps, you can design a survey questionnaire that is clear, unbiased and effective in collecting the data you need and then analyze the data to draw insights and recommendations that can improve your product or services.
